We have been established at the Cliff Top for over 50 years!  And while it’s been a challenging time in Penarth over the last few years,  you will be glad to know that we are fully open with our comfortable restaurant seating as well as protected outside space and of course our popular kiosk.   So whether you are out with the family for a meal, or just wanting a quick cuppa while walking the dog, you know you’ll always find a warm welcome.

And did we mention the views?  They are just amazing, whatever the weather.

A bit of History:

Attilio & Denyse Cioni have been serving the community of Penarth all these years with their combination of Italian classics & Welsh favourites.  But the time came for their son Andro to take over and make his own interpretation of this vision.   The restaurant has undergone a major refurbishment and is sporting a great modern look, new flavours and the great welcome you’d expect from Cioni’s as it becomes the Italian Bistro of choice in Penarth.

After running ‘The Cliff Top Kiosk’ for 20+ years, the Cioni family embarked on an ambitious plan to build  a restaurant in the late 80’s and it has been a hit with the community.   But after 30 years of service, it needed a refresh, so under the direction on Andro, it was taken it to the next level.  21st century Cioni’s is here, and you are welcome to experience it seven days a week.

We are a family run business that caters for your family too, so you won’t find pretentious fine dining here, but honest Italian and British dishes that will suit all your loved ones.
